In Chrome, I've ensured that under chrome://settings/content/pdfDocuments, that the sole option for "Download PDF files instead of automatically opening them in Chrome" is disabled. When I load a webpage that has a PDF, I can click on the extension icon and choose the "Open in Acrobat" option but instead of opening in Reader DC, it chooses to download the file locally to my Downloads folder and never automatically opens in Reader DC. On my lab systems, I have installed the extension and I can see it in the Chrome UI. Per the following KB article from Adobe, it seems like the Adobe extension for Chrome should be able to help with this ( ) We would like for our users to be able to have the PDFs launch in Acrobat Reader DC and to NOT have the PDFs download locally first. The PDFs open in the Chrome PDF Viewer which has limited functionality (mostly to download or print the PDF). Some of users would prefer to have these PDFs open in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC so they can use some of the additional functionality (such as the ability to stamp digital signatures on these PDFs or use the 'Send to Email' functionality). Chrome is the recommended browser to use with this application. Our organization has an LOB application that displays PDF files within the browser.
